PhotoSwipe

Privacy Policy

PhotoSwipe is built around a simple principle: your photos stay on your device, always.

Effective date: May 31, 2026

Information we collect

We collect no personal information. PhotoSwipe does not require an account, does not collect your name or email address, and does not track you in any way.

Photo library access

PhotoSwipe requests access to your photo library to display your photos and videos within the app. When you confirm a deletion, the app moves selected items to your device's Recently Deleted album using the standard iOS Photos framework.

Your photos and videos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Data stored on your device

PhotoSwipe stores the following data locally using iOS UserDefaults:

Preferences — your chosen batch size, sort order, and media type filter.

Kept photo list — identifiers of photos you swiped right on, stored for 30 days to avoid showing them again. These identifiers never leave your device.

Session statistics — cumulative counts of items deleted and storage freed, used to display your all-time stats. No timestamps or photo content are stored.

None of this data is sent to any server or third party.

Third-party services

PhotoSwipe uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporters, or advertising networks. The app is built exclusively with Apple's native iOS frameworks (SwiftUI, Photos, AVFoundation).

Children's privacy

PhotoSwipe does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
